Chicago to Catalina (Part 1): A Walk with a Cook County Ballot Printer

My US Mail 2024 primary election February-March ephemera haul, mostly from candidates wanting a US Congressional seat to replace a 30 year incumbent.

Snapping a photo of a plant and its label at a pollinator garden along the Des Plaines River outside Chicago, a fellow walker asked me what kind of plant that was. “Wild Senna. It seems to be ... a laxative!,” I laughed.  He laughed, too.

We stood where one of the last local Indian leaders had lived after surviving the 1832 Black Hawk War. His tribe left Illinois after the 1833 Treaty of Chicago forced them west of the Mississippi River. All Indians had to leave the State but for a few elderly Indian leaders allowed to stay in small reservations within Illinois such as some Ottawa and Pottawatomie chiefs. The Des Plaines River had been for millennia a crucial water route between Wisconsin and what became Chicago. It’s only a few miles to portage a canoe from the Des Plaines watershed over a low glacial moraine hill to the North Fork of the Chicago River which used to flow into the Great Lakes. Today in Lockport, Illinois one can take a boat from the Des Plaines River via the Chicago Sanitary Canal to downtown Chicago. Rivers and lakes were once human superhighways.

I could see the Des Plaines River meandering through thick stands of red maples and sycamores. Early French explorers called the latter “Des Plains” reminding them of European plane trees. A rare biodiverse riparian oasis on the Great Plains mostly within the second most populous US county after Los Angeles County. About a 125 years ago, local citizens banded together to do the legal work to safeguard the Des Plaines River ecosystem by creating the first ever U.S. urban forest preserve.

An hour later I was still standing with my fellow garden walker. He leaned on a split rail fence, how apropos in the “Land of Lincoln” where President Abraham Lincoln as a young man fought in the Black Hawk War with his local militia. We talked listening to oak acorns falling to the ground.  Birds flew around twittering at us and each other. Mothers with children scampering around wooden play structures in the center of the garden. Sunlight streamed through the sugar maples spotlighting an old wooden sugar shack where tree sap is still boiled down to make maple syrup.

We chatted about the old knowledge of plants. The technology changes during his career in the local printing industry. His teenage experience being hypnotized by a psychopath. News about a possible second Nuremberg Trial. And, that he’d that very day been able to take the longest pain-free walk he’d had after many years of horrible joint pain thanks to getting massages by a joint specialist after long years of taking every kind of pill prescribed by his doctors which he’d stopped taking recently because none ever gave him pain relief.

He was from the Chicago area and had worked most of his career at mom & pop printing shops which comprised most of the printing industry until the digitization of the press machines started about 30 years ago. He’d had an uncle who’d been a “stripper” and his eyes sparkled telling me that because he knew by then I’d know that was just one of the old printing trade jobs because my father had worked in that industry.  His father had been a Linotype operator who retired right before that technology became obsolete thanks to the Silicon Valley’s Adobe company’s computerized scalable fonts.

He told me about his last years in the printing business as it went digital and he could only find a job in a big “union” shop which did massive amounts of printing for political candidates. Mostly for Democrats.  Only a small handful of local Republicans in the Chicago area ordered print jobs from that shop. Direct mailings, door hangers, posters, all sorts of things.  He thought most people voted just for the face and name they saw most often.  He shook his head ruefully telling me about “last minute” print runs of ballots many election years.

It was a high stress life.  Constant “rush” jobs.  Often on his feet for over 12 hours a day.  He ended with high blood pressure with his knees and hips in very bad condition.  Arthritis.  His doctors prescribed him endless different pills.  Most recent pills made him feel a lot more pain.  But, then he did his own research and discovered that pill does physical damage to joints. So, he researched some more and found a massage specialist who has been helping him loosen up his tendons, ligaments, and muscle bundles which had become stiff compensating for the overused parts of his body. Just 2 weeks ago he could finally move around without pain.

We chatted about how many pills today are only synthetic variations of molecules found in plants.  How it is often an Al Capone-style racket about new drugs’ patents and royalties.  Too many unscrupulous pharmaceutical companies and bean counter for-profit insurance companies with their massive skyscrapers. Callous bureaucrats and many lazy, reckless and/or careless allopathic “pill & scalpel” doctors.  Patients really have to be their own advocates sometimes nowadays we agreed.

We talked about politics and other current events. He watched the November 2020 Presidential election live on TV and was disgusted at the late night 2 AM Central Time news of ballot counts in six states suddenly being paused simultaneously. In one state for a “truck to arrive” and a “water line break” in another.  I’d watched on TV the election night live, too, and rolled my eyes at the same news as one ballot counting facility’s workers put up white poster boards on its windows to obscure any view by the press and public. He was very worried about the November 2021 election in Virginia afraid as an experienced Cook County, Illinois printer there is no way it can be done without fraud.  We talked about all the printing tricks unscrupulous people can easily do before and on election night, as well as during the mail-in ballot counting and recounting going on for weeks in many states.

We talked about the multi-generational political machines in Cook County.  I told him about how in my State of California the Newsom, Brown, and Getty families go back 3 generations of helping each other.  Grandpa William Newsom helped Pat Brown get the San Francisco District Attorney job (US Vice President Harris got it decades later) which spring boarded Pat to California Governor. Then his son Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown, too, and now Gavin Newsom elected as Governor.  The printer did not know Gavin’s in-law aunt is US Speaker Nancy Pelosi (his jaw dropped) nor that Gavin was after his parents split semi-adopted by Gordon Getty who himself had been after his own parents also split, semi-adopted by William Newsom.  Old William as a corporate lawyer did a “deal” in Sacramento to help Old Man Getty of Getty Oil Company get a sweet State tax break and in turn Governor Pat appointed William to a judgeship.

His jaw also dropped when I said that the then new ski resort Squaw Valley (with Gavin’s Plumpjack food and beverage business) got big investment funding and the Olympics because one of its main founders, Alec Cushing, had a high school roommate named Laurence Rockefeller and the lead Squaw investors included Grandpa William Newsom and his big pal, the then California Governor Pat Brown. Their plans of building a lucrative and massive convention center and a new town in that delicate high alpine riparian ecosystem was thwarted for decades by the Pan Am pilot and local Reno kid-skier Wayne Poulsen who retained his tiny minority share of the Squaw Valley company he’d created with Alec, an heir to the old opium-running China Trade Yankee Clipper Boston Brahmin Cushing family.  All my life photos of Alec had half his face paralyzed. Bell’s Palsy? A vaccine injury? Karma?

I always love the story how Wayne prevented a massive paved parking lot, sewage plant, and high speed paved ring road being built on that valley’s soggy meadow for the 1960 Olympics as desired by Cushing/Rockefeller/Brown/Newsom/Getty.  Wayne’s wife had a college pal from the Harriman family which had created the Sun Valley resort in Idaho to sell more train tickets on their trans-continental railroad.  She and Wayne met while he was a ski instructor at Sun Valley and she was visiting there with her Harriman college pal.  They both loved the wildness of Squaw Valley and worked for decades together with their friends to protect it.  Alec died at his childhood summer home in Newport, Rhode Island.  On September 13, 2021 the Squaw Valley ski resort name ceased to exist after it merged with nearby Alpine Valley ski resort and a gondola interlink is being built to connect the two resorts now named Palisades Tahoe.

Both of those Sierra Nevada resorts are now owned by Colorado-based mega ski resort company Alterra Mountain Company which runs ski resorts in the U.S. and Canada.  Alterra is owned by KSL Capital Partners, LLC, which according to its website is “a private equity firm specializing in travel and leisure enterprises in five primary sectors: hospitality, recreation, clubs, real estate, and travel services.”  A big shareholder of KSL is Henry Crown and Company.  Mr. Henry Crown was a major owner of Aspen ski resort, General Dynamics, etc.  A big donor to the City of Chicago for the current Mayor’s Millenium Park “public-private” update.

When I was a college student in the 1980’s at the University of Chicago, the most popular undergraduate major was economics.  Most of those students wanted a job on Wall Street doing mergers and acquisitions.  Or, work as a consultant at a management advisory company like Booz Allen before getting an M.B.A. at a top business school and then make bigger bucks as a “c-suite” ladder climber.  I’d by then worked in printing and real estate family companies and figured I’d already had a lifetime of office work and paper pushing business experience so in college I thought I should learn something new, like physical sciences and history.

The Wall Street world of the 1980’s struck me as a mostly slice ’n dice looting of others’ business assets using highly leveraged forced sales, selling off almost anything of value for quick cash, repackaging spreadsheets to look good to financial analysts, and create “new n’ improved” companies funded by stock sales after a public stock offering to pay for their leveraged acquisitions which at the end of the day mostly put money and quality assets into some “preferred” investors’ hands instead of rolling any hard earned profits back into the old companies to pay its most productive workers more, create or produce new quality products or services for long term growth, and save some financial reserves to weather frequent economic downturns. 

I prefer slow long term growth like planting trees instead of any fast dash or Gold Rush type of gambling activities. I’d studied enough history to know most who want quick profits rarely make lasting money in the long term.  Strike it rich and the profits usually don’t last more than one or 2 generations.

For example, Leland Stanford was first an upstate New York and later a Wisconsin small town young attorney, dashed off to the California gold fields in 1850 only to walk away from gold mining after he failed at that. He became a dry goods supplier to miners which set him up with enough cash to become California’s Governor, a railway Robber Baron, and a US Senator. He funded his eponymous university in large part to shelter his personal assets when he was stuck in junk stock lawsuits by defrauded railroad creditors. He pushed through the Sacramento legislature a very special tax-free land and “education” trust where he parked the bulk of his ill-gotten cash, stocks and bonds. He bribed his way to and through the US Senate making sure his financial crimes were whitewashed retroactively. 

He and his wife only had one child after many years of trying but their boy Leland, Junior, died as a teen on a family Grand Tour trip to Europe. After Leland, Senior’s death his wife Jane sold almost all her personal jewelry to keep their university open while the railroad junk stock lawsuits raged tying up their marital assets. She was murdered by arsenic-laced soda water, after an earlier failed arsenic poisoning attempt. A top theory for who was her killer was a hitman or women paid by the university president who hated her guts. He got a state coroner to change the official cause of her death from poisoning to something else to avoid a public scandal or cover his own tracks.

In October 2021, Alterra at the former Squaw Valley ski resort was waiting for a more “favorable” local/county/State political scene to permit its 25 year investment plan to build more high rise condo hotels, an indoor waterpark, and a roller coaster.  Its 2021 plans were being fought in court by environmental advocates upset at a sketchy backroom CEQA (Calif. Environmental Quality Act) deal for Alterra in 2016 between the State and Placer County.  Meanwhile, the residents of the old “Squaw Valley” which has long had a postal identity as “Olympic Valley” have been trying for years to make their valley into an incorporated town to grab land zoning power away from Placer County to prevent the denser development Alterra and the County want.

I said to my fellow Des Plaines garden walker many problems we have now are thanks to people who hold onto power by any means necessary who often have as much physical, financial, social, and emotional distance from the common folk as the Queen of England.  They care more about intermarrying and backslapping deals to keep their political power and very lucrative backroom deals perking along.  For many of them, their schemes demonstrate actual sadism, misanthropy, and a willingness to pollute the planet in places where they do not live full-time. I always laugh thinking of US Senator Teddy Kennedy stopping wind turbines being built in view of his Hyannis family summer compound.  OK to spoil the summer water views of others but never himself! Or in 2020, California Governor Newsom shut down most “nonessential” mom & pop shops but not his own winery’s tasting room. Big power always corrupts absolutely but this time “they” have gone too far. Going after children with endless masks and jabs as the world economy crashes means enough of us are standing up and saying, “No more.” I hope.

As soon as we realized we were both disgusted with the status quo of politics and the pandemic, we were off to the races.  He took the jabs due to his age and the constant media messaging all should take the jabs to get back to “normal” life, but now he thinks it is crazy for himself to take any boosters given the fact the jabs are hurting people’s natural immune systems and the news that constant boosters will be needed to be deemed “fully vaccinated.” And now, “they” are going after kids as young as 5 years old. He has grandkids. 

He already knows the “bat flu” idea of the virus arising naturally by jumping species in the wild is likely false.  Too many court cases around the world have shown national health authorities from Canada to Portugal can’t produce an “isolated” sample.  It seems to be only a thing as a computer code sequence not anything in a petri dish.

One of his offspring is a teacher who has so far been able to refuse the jab. He has to take a PCR test once a week and refuses to take the jab under any condition.  The printer also refused to take any more regular vaccines for himself years ago after he saw how many jabs most U.S. babies and toddlers are now given - 72 by kindergarten! He’s happy his grandkids don’t take all the “recommended” jabs.  He like me has seen too many kids today with allergies, autoimmune diseases, asthma, and autism at rates we never experienced as children.

The printer did not know about Dr. Kary Mullis’ Nobel Prize for inventing the PCR test. How despite being robustly healthy he died very suddenly of pneumonia in August 2019 after he said on video the PCR test was never designed to diagnose any human illnesses.  It is just a lab tool. The printer did not know anything about the shifting cycling rates of the PCR tests to ramp up false positives in Spring 2020 and then ratchet down to produce fewer positive tests by January 2021 to “show” the vaccines are working when they were first rolled out.

He only knew vaguely about the summer 2021 ratcheting down of the pandemic “from covid” death numbers from 2020. My Santa Clara County health department ratcheted down our 2020 numbers by about 23% after it determined too many “covid” deaths had been erroneously counted in 2020. About half the County budget goes for health care as medical facilities it runs. It got at least $30,000 in federal funds for any deaths labeled “from” covid in 2020. Even if a patient had no flu symptoms but one PCR test was positive, bingo! Let that fed funds slot machine spit out gold coins!

He was concerned about so many over 80 years old dying from the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.  I asked if he knows the normal “flu” viral and bacterial pneumonia death rates for that age group. “No.” Or that a leading co-morbitity of all influenza and other viral, and bacterial lung disease deaths are anxiety and depression and most with those conditions in the USA are on pills virtually all of which hurt one’s immune system as known side effects.

He did not know about David Martin’s legal team reviewing 3,000+ worldwide patents related to the pandemic and its vaccines. Nor Reiner Fuellmilch and his Nuremberg 2 work or the increasing number of court case wins against mandatory experimental vaccines around the world.  Reiner won major court cases against both Deutsches Bank and Volkswagen corporations for fraud.  The printer asked me to spell Reiner’s name twice.

He instantly understood the Pfizer trade secret biodistribution graph obtained by a Canadian in June 2021 from the Japanese government which had it in December 2020 showing the mRNA nanoparticle bioaccumulation in mammalian ovaries and bone marrow.  He blanched at Pfizer’s bioaccumulation graphs as I drew them in the air with my hands.  Like me, he learned from the “3R”s at school about x-y graphs unlike most US school children today who since about 1985 are mostly only taught how to push buttons on a calculator in their math classes after they learn addition and subtraction. They can’t do multiplication or long division by hand.  I am still shocked to have discovered that fact while teaching middle school science for a year decades ago.

He mentioned how happy he is that his local school system started teaching cursive again.  We both hoped humans’ signatures will still matter in 50 years and thus, kids in the future can still read the original U. S. Declaration of Independence written in cursive.

He lamented how can so many people be deceived or appear hypnotized about the jabs. That so many refuse to accept under any circumstances the idea that natural immunity may be a more powerful protection than any vaccination. Or some fellow humans may have religious concerns or simply not want to be part of a legally still experimental medical procedure.  Or, I suggested, some don’t want to take an injection with any trade secret ingredients which negates for them the idea of any full voluntary informed consent for medical experiments as required by the US federal statute enshrining Nuremberg 1 treaty ideas our government adopted after WW2.

Should not some people be in a control group not taking a vaccine in order to validate the worldwide experiment for a kind of serum technology never before given to humans?  Watch how the shots could impact human gestation given no pregnant women were allowed into the first rounds of studies from 2020? 

I mentioned the CIA MK-Ultra program funding for Stanford University in the 1950’s to find out how to screen people for their ability to be hypnotized. They proved 30% are easy to hypnotize or to deceive with repetitive propaganda. 30% can’t be mind-controlled without use of drugs. 40% could go either way.  So far, about 70% in the US population has taken at least one bat flu jab. 30% + 40% = 70%

Stanford researchers and others experimented with how to use that new mind-control knowledge with pressure from simple repetition, white-coated “authority” figures, and group peer pressure as well as drugs like LSD and opiates to make people do things they would not normally do, such as being a zombie Manchurian Candidate assassin or a Lolita to blackmail targets.  It’s all there for anyone to read in the mid-1970’s Congressional “Church” hearing transcripts.  The U.S. government is supposed to have stopped that mind-control work after those hearings exposed many unwitting human guinea pigs with permanently shattered minds but I doubt that work really stopped.  Besides, US law allows all sorts of legal and secret exemptions during any declared “war” or “emergency.”

His eyes went wide as we talked about 1950’s - 1970’s U.S. government mind control experiments and work.  He then told me about a bizarre experience he had as a teen in the 1970’s.  He was a messenger delivering something to a fancy downtown Chicago apartment in an extremely nice northside neighborhood, only a few blocks away from the first Playboy offices at the old Palmolive company skyscraper. Sex-sells Hefner’s magazine was initially funded by the CIA. His first Playboy Club in Chicago was placed there to be close to a major hub airport, so convenient for honey trap ops.

The young printer got into an elevator and there was a man inside it.  The man started telling him how he could teach him how to “get” any girl.  The printer put out his hand about 18” from my face, pointed his fingers at me as he put his thumb and other fingers together, pulsing them opening and closing his fingers in a rhythmic way to describe how that man had spoken to him.  Not with pulsing fingers at his own face but the man just mesmerizingly focused his eyes close to the young man’s face as he spoke rhythmically which did something to his mind and body. The man did not use a swinging watch or anything.  Just used his voice and eye contact.

The next thing he remembered was hearing his work beeper beeping and being in the man’s apartment. Just standing there. He was stunned.  Did not know how he’d gotten into the apartment.  He was still mostly dressed but the man was measuring his “male member” with a measuring tape.  He got out of there fast knowing he’d been saved, he thought, by a guardian angel. 

Next we talked about Freud and his nephew Edward Bernays the public relations guru hired by our President Wilson to convince the US public to want to enter WW1. Then, the Nazi’s mind-control and torture experiments with LSD and heroin. The CIA’s mind-control work after WW2 including information on how some of that was exposed during Sirhan Sirhan’s recent parole hearing.  We agreed, just like the Cook County Democrat Party’s regular avalanche of political mailings or the mainstream media skewing stories and burying opposition news like the November 2020 election night ballot counting oddities and Hunter Biden’s laptop story in October 2020, it is sadly very easy essentially to hypnotize more than half the human population.  But, those who are not easily hypnotized can stand up and help where they can starting on the local level while continually becoming better educated about reality.

I told him that he made my day. Being able to talk politics and current events is fun and most importantly hearing from someone who solved their own health issues and now can walk around on a sunny day without pain was wonderful to see.

CODA 1:

March 5, 2024 is Super Tuesday. Seventeen jurisdictions will hold a primary event: Alabama, Alaska (Republican primary), American Samoa (Democratic caucus), Arkansas, California, Colorado, Iowa (Democratic primary), Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.

At stake:

- 1,215 Republican August 2024 US presidential convention delegates, 50% of all delegates

- 1,420 Democrat delegates, 36% of all Democratic pledged delegates.

As a Californian, I got like the rest of us an automatic ballot by mail and could start voting weeks ago by mail or at official drop boxes. In-person voting centers opened 11 days before Election Day. I’ll vote in person on March 5 dropping my paper ballot at a polling place near my home. I refuse to use easy to hack electronic voting machines. Make it as hard as possible for early counters to ease counting fraud where my County usually votes at least 70% for a straight Democrat Party ticket.

As a nonaffiliated voter my 3 page sample ballot in the automatically mailed “Presidential Primary Election” Voter Information Guide is buried in the middle of 44 pages with instructions how to get a ballot and guide in 9 other languages. Despite our US citizenship requirement which requires for naturalized new immigrants to pass a US history test in English we Californians all get by US Mail a second 112 page thin newsprint booklet titled “Primary Election Official Guide” with candidate statements and more info. Also received by US Mail 2 duplicate large format postcards with a QR code how to find a place to vote, 13 different languages of instructions, and logos of 5 different social media companies for more info.

My sample ballot as a nonaffiliated voter does not allow me to vote for any US Presidential Candidates. Just for 2 US Senate seats (one a partial term, the other a full term), a new Congressional Representative to replace a 30 year one, a State Assembly rep, a County Supervisor to replace a man continuously in elected offices for over 40 years and endorsed by my outgoing longtime Congresscritter as he seeks to get her D.C. job, plus a pile of other local offices are up for grabs.

Because I always vote, my home mailbox is full of printed campaign flyers. Repetition, repetition, repetition of the same faces of the well-funded ones. One NorCal candidate for Congress with a very wealthy family has mailed me at least 9 large format four-color mini-posters. One small mailer on flimsy paper from a political action group pushing a SoCal ex-pro baseball player Republican for the US Senate. Not one mailer from SoCal Congresscritter Schiff who wants the US Senate seat. Given how California vote counts are heavily for Democrat he likely thinks my County will be a sure thing lock for himself and thus no need to pay for mailers to “nobody” independents like me.

Not one flyer from the County Supervisor running for US Congress with over 200 endorsements of current and former local elected officials. He’s raised over $4M for his campaign. He has lots of big color ads in all the local newspapers. He likely thinks he has the race locked up.

Tallied up the printing costs of the campaign flyers in my mailbox. 46 of them. Almost all are heavy card stock. 4-color process. Many on very large format size paper big enough to use as a lawn sign. One with a complex accordion fold and a non-standard paper size using a very dull-colored design. That candidate’s mother, a local realtor, told me excitedly, “His first step!” when he won his first local election more than 10 years ago. How proud she was he’s a full-time professional politician with a great taxpayer-paid pension locked up the second he was sworn in for his first Sacramento job. Endorsed by Governor Newsom and the outgoing 30 year Congresscritter. A party’s reliable rubber stamp.

Recalled the retired printer at the Des Plaines River outside Chicago telling me about how he and/or other printers used to print fake, extra, or legal ballots in the middle of the night for Cook County and Illinois State election shenanigans. Until more like him stand up, blow whistles, name names, and refuse to play along with the criminal fraud, parts of the USA like his home county are doomed. Just like how the Northern Ireland Troubles were not ended until mothers of combatants from both sides started marching arm-in-arm together, willing to turn their own kids in to the police to stop the violent tit for tat crime.

I hope enough people knowing about any USA election fraud will this November stand up and dare to follow the law and turn in themselves, friends, family, or anyone who helps others to break the law. Get hidden cameras to collect evidence to take down the biggest criminals. Gather court evidence a kindergartener can understand.

Al Capone was taken down not for his murders, extortion rackets, bribery and bootlegging but in 1931 for simple tax evasion thanks to one brave accountant standing up, E.J. "Easy Eddie" O'Hare, the father of WW2 Naval Academy graduate and pilot Butch O'Hare. Butch was awarded the Medal of Honor for combat off Rabaul in February 1942 and then shot down and presumed killed over the Marianas in combat on November 26, 1943. Chicago's international airport is named for him.

It does not take many people just a few brave ones to stop election fraud. Nor, to see through government lies and dumbed down propaganda such as the 6’ social distancing number federal health authorities admitted in 2023 they pulled out of thin air. A big con job for too many dumbed down people easily duped by cartoon character simplicities and psy-op level propaganda.

Might take my 2 pounds (and growing) pile of 2024 mailed election ephemera to my County’s March 5-6 overnight ballot counting facility at 1555 Berger Drive right across Oakland Road to North Coyote Park along Coyote Creek’s huge homeless camp and trash piles as seen today in online satellite imagery. A camera in hand. Tailgate party in a parking lot? A bonfire using political flyers in a portable BBQ with the trespassing tent residents could be fun, unevictable by State law at the momemt unless a hotel or shelter bed is immediatly available [7/11/24: a law overturned by the US Supreme Court right before its Summer 2024 recess.] I’d bring a Thermos for something to toast Butch and Easy Eddie O’Hare. Pass me the popcorn.

CODA 2: May 1, 2024: “My” 30+ year County Supervisor J.S. running for US Congress in a California “Jungle” Primary lost, won, and lost again his primary race. First, the DNC controlled County ballot counters said he lost by one vote to be one of 2 candidates for the November 2024 runoff after all primary ballot counting deadlines expired.
